Hello Miss Sue!!! I'm glad to hear that you guys got some sunshine today:) It is freezing cold here...felt more like December than end of March.
We went to Westerville to watch a MEPA show today. It was lots of fun!! My parents drove the box truck down so they were an unexpected surprise. We got to watch NPHS take first place!!! They did a great job and their show is really fun this year. We saw Andy and Carla Wherley there so we stopped and chatted for a few minutes with them. It's been years since we've even seen them:) Their son Tanner did a great job marching snare!! He is so intense:)
After the MEPA show the 5 of us headed out for a very very late dinner. We shouldn't have but we splurged on Cantina Laredo!!! Yummy!!! One of my most favorite places to eat:) We even got dessert to split:)There's gonna be some yummy leftovers for tomorrow.
Andy is writing/playing music again. It's been a really really long time so this makes me super happy:) It takes a lot of stress off of him and he seems much happier when he's making music.
We are still in limbo as far as buying a house, renting a different house or just staying put where we are at for now. This is such a hard decision. We are also trying to decide if we are where God wants us to be church wise.
We could use lots of prayers. Andy's company is based out of Japan and of course supplies another Japanese company. With everything that is going on in Japan it could spell BIG trouble for us. Last week Andy was told that there was a 50/50 chance that we could be "profoundly" affected:( That's the word they used--profoundly. We are just praying and trusting in God's plan at this point. Honda had a big meeting with their people last week so we should know something this week. Our shipping port is completely wiped out. If you want to see pictures just leave your e-mail and I will forward some to you. This is all confidential though so please don't share with anyone outside of the family:)
Our Spring break is just finishing up so we are back to the grind this coming week:( I would MUCH rather have my kids at home than at school everyday!! I am counting down the weeks til Summer vacation:)I'll bet you're counting down the days til Shaun gets home!!
Love, Lori
well, that sounded like a hugely , fun time, lori.. i didn't know what MEPA was..but i figured it was a marching band contest of sorts.. also, cool that you got to visit a bit with carla and andy..
all i can say is WOW.. profoundly is a pretty nasty word..i will be praying for you guys..that was so horrible. the photos , i'm sure didn't do the devastion justice.
i just keep praying for all those poor folks over there.. and it's cold on top of that.. i just can't wrap my mind around all of it.
so.... this laredo cantina?? pretty tasty huh?? must go there when we get to come down next!
cause i know i won't be going to easton anytime soon! LOL
what kind of music does andy write? that is really cool... i watch parenthood and they play the guitars and sing and write. i wish sometimes that the braverman's were real.. hahaha.. and i could sit in on their jam sessions or when they just dance.. i love that!
i'm sorry you guys are having such a dilema about the housing issue.. hope that something becomes tangible soon.. i know how emotional that can be.. and all the politics of the schools.. yikes!
our spring break is kinda screwy.. they said thurs. 31st thru apr. 5..but now b/c of make-up days.. they will only have friday 1st and go back on the 4th.. yeah.. not!
the boys were a little upset..but with shaun still away..we weren't going to do anything special..
noah is doing much better.. he scared me on friday nite..but he did really good on sat. and sun. so no problems..yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he got pushed down while playing basketball, landing on the ball(chest) knocked the air out of him, cracked his head on the blacktop and went out.. his "girlfriend" told him they thought he was dead..hahaha.. she was crying and yelling for the teacher.. how come there is never a teacher watching when something like this happens??? never!
he said he could hear their voices but couldn't see them..
i'm just glad that it wasn't anything serious.. the LORD was totally on hand for that.
well, chick..thanks for writing me back.. have a great week!! love ya, sue
