Hi Lori, Any updates on your dad? I was just wondering if he is still in the hospital or if he was sent home. Please keep us posted; am still praying....love, Mom

My dad was released from the hospital on Thursday morning:) They did a CT scan a few days before that and found a "pocket" near the incision that "could be" an infection...which would explain the fever. They started him on Keflex and his fever seems to be gone. The reason they didn't do a CT scan earlier is because the dye they inject you with is very bad for your kidneys!! They really didn't want to further compromise his only remaining kidney just as it was learning to function on it's own. His pathology report came back just as he was leaving the hospital and all looks good!! The cancer was contained to the mass itself and hadn't spread anywhere else. Since the mass and kidney are both gone now he won't have to do chemo or radiation. He will just need to be checked out fairly regularly by his oncologist:) God has been so good to us!! Thanks for all your support!!
