hello and salutations

hidey ho all...
just a note to let you know how this week has been going for me...

i went to freezer meals at our pastors house and made 7 really cool meals..(if anyone is interested in those recipes let me know.. they are really good ) that was entered into the cost of groceries 2 weeks ago, 34.00(for everything except the meats). i noticed that when i plan the meals and write my list then, not adding to it at the grocery store i save a ton. i have gone to the store once in between my last shopping date to buy milk and bread, fruit and shaun's poptarts!.. but have kept our cost down to 240.00 for 3 weeks worth of groceries.. that is dinner and breakfast and lunch..

i have my meal plan ready for the next shopping date which will be monday , 26th.. i can't wait to see how the next one goes.. the coupons haven't been that great in the paper.. and our printer is broke so i am at the mercy of the price gun.. lol

i have been consistent with my exercise.. this is my 3rd week of working out.. i have noticed that i can actually do a sit up w/o leaning to the side.. goooooo abs!! i purchased a ball and strengthening band on sale and i have implemented this routine along with my pilates.. its hard to believe that a rubber band can have that much resistence.. boy do my arms hurt! whew! anyway, i am feeling alot better, i haven't measured or weighed myself (i don't believe in scales,LOL! no really i don't like to be fanatic about it so i tend not to focus on that much in the beginning) but i do feel like i have lost a few.. keep up those prayers!

i have spent a lot more time with the LORD.. and we started devotions with the boys at bed time.. they are really getting into it.. awesome!

i did 6 pages in scrapbooking, thanks again mom for those pages, they turned out really nice with my sisters family pics... lori, i seem to be hording(sp) the pages you gave me..lol!!

shaun and i finally put up the lollie columns in the basement ... we are getting there.. still haven't painted our room yet.. have to paint the boys playroom now, we had some leakage around the chimney and its ruined the ceiling and walls around the chimney, thanks ike!!, we have to wait till spring to tar the flashing so i can't do alot with that yet, and its driving me crazy to see the stains on the ceiling and walls.. must put it out of my mindddddddddd!!! lol;)

still organizing, i threw away a ton of old pictures and stupid stuff that i can't believe i have kept for so long.. credit card receipts from when i was 17! what was i thinkin'? don't have a clue..
cleaned out the boys closets and have clothes ready for garage sale.. i don't know what size brendan and jack are into, let me know tracy... i may have somethings you could use now or maybe later..

the biggie, shaun and i discovered hard wood floors beneath the carpet throughout the house! and can't wait to rip up the carpet and start on the floors.. most are painted , not sure yet if i will keep the paint on them or try to sand down and make beaut-ti-ful! i love the painted ones downstairs.. barn red! so my thing... anyway if you could use some of the carpet let us know... all of it was put in brand new before we bought the house.. its a sand color, small pile and still in good shape, not the best carpet, but still new ,none the less..

well, i have talked you all's ears off so i will leave you with an invitation to come and visit us if you are all down this way.. i know its a haul, but we would make you some goooood hot chocolate or coffee..lol!!!
have a fantabulous week and i have you all in my prayers..
loveya,
sue
p.s - steph, great news about angelika and her not having any seizures!! fantastic! the meds she is on apparently working?

Sue, what are you talking about "pastors house" and meals? I am sort of lost. I go to church, but don't remember him ever saying anything about coming to his house for a meal???? LOL....please explain. That is super being able to keep groceries down to that amount...wow!! and to only go to the store once or twice..how nice!

Keep up the exercise program; sounds like you are doing good so far. Also, thanks for the update on your goals etc..it is exciting to read how everyone is doing.

Am happy you are able to work on your scrapbooking. It is very relaxing and fun to do. I have made some individual little books; sort of like a mini album.

Sounds like you will have fun working on your house when spring gets here; I bet you are looking forward to re-doing different things.

When you have time, explain about your meals at the pastors house...lol...love ya all...Mom

kelly vanarsdalen has "freezer meals" twice a month.. she buys all the dry, dairy, canned, veggies or fruit..$34.00 we buy the meat, baggies and then she has the recipes, we put the meals together there at her house, bring them home , freeze them and wa-la, you have 7 meals for whenever..this is the 1st time i tried it.. we made, bacon cheeseburger over rice, stuffed chicken breasts, cheddar cheese soup, sante fe chicken wraps(these were delicious), salsa burgers, bbq chicken wings, and chicken or tuna,(i chose chicken) turnovers..
i ran into kelly a while back and she asked if i would be interested.. its by invitation, due to the size of her kitchen.. but i would be able to get the recipes if you are interested.. let me know..

Great work Sue! If you have any clothes in sizes 5/6 I would be interested. Jack gets Brendan's hand me downs and occasionally something new of his own. So he should be good to go. BUT- if you have any decent snow boots in sizes 11, 12 or 1 for boys I'd be interested in those too ...oh and winter coats in sizes 3T, 4T, size 5 too...

Regarding the meal thing...I know 3 girls from church who get together at least once a year and cook all-day making 30 meals/per family to freeze for their ...I think it may cost them alittle over $100 each ??? can't remember for sure.

Let me know if theres anything to tell about the clothes/sizes.
Thanks!
Tracy
