Hey, remember the leaky roof I posted about Jan 14? Well, it froze up and crystalized on our windows during the freeze and just about a couple hours ago....started pouring inside the house! Yes, even the claims operator for Allstate asked me if he was hearing water...yes. This is bad.
Not only is it bad we have water in the house but its coming in near the computer table. I've had to move almost everything away from this side of the house. Joel's on his way home now to see if he can sweep more snow off the roof and limit the damage. Allstate put us on priority status to get some help.
I'll update ya later on how its going, right now I need to empty another container of water!

Oh Tracy that sounds positively awful. When it rains it pours doesn't it? Hahaha... no pun intended. Well it sounds like your insurance is on top of it so you shouldn't have a hard time filing a claim. COurse that doesn't help with the deductible does it? We'll be praying for you that's for sure! You know it seems when we always had the most problems with our house was right around tax time. Seems like we always had to use our refund check for some sort of repairs or even hospital bills in some cases!! Funny how that always works out huh?

Thankfully our deduct. is only $250and Allstate (at least from prior experience) takes it off the top when they cut the check so no out of pocket expense really...as long as the contractor agrees to pay for the balance. We'll see. We have ceiling damage now, the carpet is wet, the walls/windows in some places are wet. At least the roof hasn't fallen in...yet! haha
hang in there tracy.. hopefully the adjustor will get on the ball and get things moving quickly.. till then, do you have any fans? it will be a nuisance but try to keep the fans on the carpet and walls, to try to dry it out.. shaun wants to know when the adjustor comes to the house, he would like to be present to make sure that you don't get rooked..
